M.J. Andersen is an award-winning journalist and author of the memoir “Portable Prairie: Confessions of an Unsettled Midwesterner.” She writes a monthly books column, “Four Takes,” for the Boston Sunday Globe.
For more than 20 years, she wrote columns and editorials for The Providence Journal, where she began as a reporter. Her work has appeared in The Wall Street Journal, The American Prospect, the Sacramento Bee, the Daily Princetonian, the Milbank Herald Advance and numerous other publications.
